FOOTY FINALS ON THE BIG SCREEN
For the next three weeks, the best teams in the footy codes will be battling it out for a spot in the grand final & we will be screening all the games at our place, with it all coming to a head on the October long weekend with both the AFL & NRL grand final! You will feel like you're at the stadium with the atmosphere of The Merc & the games live and loud on the big screen!
The BIG day itself will be a colourful ode to Irish culture, featuring an energetic Irish music line-up from 9am, including the likes of Blackwater, Shaylee Wilde & The Soniks, as well as Traditional Irish Dance performances. The Guinness will of course be flowing all day.
Join us for our Annual St Patrick's Day breakfast event. Tickets include a full Irish breakfast, Irish coffee & two hour beverage package. There will be Irish dance performances as well as traditional Irish music. This event will sell out, so please book early to avoid disappointment! $60 per person. For the Irish, there is more anticipation for the events to come on Paddy's Day than Christmas. On this day, The Mercantile is traditionally abuzz with festive energy, with live music from 7pm for those daring enough to start the celebrations early. Featuring Martin Horan.
ST PATRICK'S FESTIVAL WEEK
The launch of our festival week, a fun-packed celebration with a programme including talented Irish ensembles such as Shindig, and the infectious Shaylee Wilde & her band. The festivities include spirited displays of dance from champion Irish Dance Company, Scoil Rince Creer whom The Mercantile supported in September to compete internationally in The All-Ireland Championships. The Mercantile patio will also play host to face painting and lively balloon fun, keeping kids of all ages amused.
What better time than St Patrick's Week to showcase Irish culture! We have a whole week of fun planned for you in the lead up to our favourite day of the year, including music, dance, food & film. It starts with Family Day on Sunday, then Irish film screenings, a trad music night, live music events & the big day itself! Join us for the craic!
We launched a poll to let YOU decide the top 3 Irish films of all time, to be screened at the venue every Monday in the lead up to St Patrick's Day. The film will be shown on the big screen in the main bar, allowing you to combine your favourite things, Irish film, Hearty Irish Fare & the atmosphere of The Mercantile! Join us each week as we celebrate Irish film.

Celebrate the week of the Emerald Isle with us with our official event to launch our St Patrick's Day Festival week, our Family Day! The festivities will be kicking off from 12pm with fun-filled Irish musicians taking the stage. Let champion dancers wow you with their talent in the age-old tradition of Irish dancing. Irish band, Shindig, will then have you up on your dancing feet, followed by Shaylee Wilde until close.
It's a day of fun for the whole family, with children's face painting and balloon fun there on the day to keep the kiddies happy.
